A private members club is an organization that admits only members, usually after an application, a reference or an invitation, and offers them a venue, a community, events or all three. In Dubai, the term covers very different things: social clubhouses, business clubs, confidential peer groups, investor clubs and masterminds. For an entrepreneur, the useful question is not which club is the best but which type solves your problem. This guide compares every type as of October 2026 and explains how to choose.
Disclosure: we are the team behind Insiders Capital, an investor-focused membership. We cover it in its own section and say where another type fits better.
The five types of club at a glance
| Type | Main purpose | Typical offer | Vetting | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Social club | Leisure and culture | Venue, dining, art, social events | Application, often a member reference | Founders who want a place to relax and meet people informally |
| Business club | Meetings and professional networking | Clubhouse, meeting rooms, business events | Application or pre-qualification | Executives and owners who host clients and partners |
| Peer group | Confidential advice among leaders | Small forums that meet regularly | Published criteria, interview | Founders and CEOs, or wealthy investors, who meet the criteria |
| Investor club | Building and deploying personal wealth | Community, education, deal flow, peer feedback | Application, varies widely | Founders who want to turn business income into assets |
| Mastermind | Accountability on a goal | Structured small-group sessions | Varies, from none to strict | Founders working on one specific problem |
The categories overlap. A business club has social events, and an investor club may hold dinners. But each type is built around one core promise, and that promise decides whether it is worth your time. For how these fit into the wider founder scene, see Dubai for Founders.
Social clubs
Social clubs focus on lifestyle. You pay for access to a venue and its community, and the networking is a by-product. They are useful if you want a regular place to see people outside a work context.
- The Arts Club Dubai is the first international outpost of The Arts Club in London, a club founded in 1863. As of October 2026, its website describes a venue unveiled in 2020 at ICD Brookfield Place in DIFC, with restaurants, members' lounges, gallery spaces and a rooftop. Unlike most clubs in the city, it publishes its membership rates on its website. We compare them with Capital Club Dubai and Nasab in Capital Club vs The Arts Club vs Nasab.
- Soho House does not list a House in Dubai on its website as of October 2026. It offers a Cities Without Houses membership for people who travel and live where there is no House, with access to its Houses abroad. If a Soho House is the club you have in mind, check that it matches where you actually spend your time.
What to check:
- Whether the membership is individual, family or corporate.
- How crowded the venue is at the times you would use it.
- Whether members are screened or the club is open to anyone who pays.
Business clubs
Business clubs are built around professional networking and a place to host. A well-known example is Capital Club Dubai, a private business club at Gate Village in DIFC. As of October 2026, its website lists meeting and private dining rooms, a gym and spa, member committees that run its events, and access to more than 350 reciprocal and associated clubs worldwide. Applicants start with a pre-qualification form for an individual or corporate membership, reviewed by the membership team. Its membership fees are not public.
Business clubs fit people who meet clients, investors or partners in Dubai regularly and want a professional setting. They are less focused on teaching you to invest.
What to check:
- How close the clubhouse is to where you work.
- Whether you can host guests, and how many.
- Who the members actually are: industries, seniority, nationality mix.
Peer groups: YPO, EO and TIGER 21
Some organizations are built around confidential peer forums rather than a venue. Their value is a small group that meets regularly, shares real numbers and gives honest feedback. As of October 2026, each publishes its criteria:
- EO (Entrepreneurs' Organization) is for founders and owners. According to the EO Dubai chapter, the company must be registered and operating in the UAE and gross at least US$1 million in the fiscal year before joining.
- YPO is for chief executives. Its membership page lists criteria on age, being the top operational leader, employee count and revenue or enterprise value.
- TIGER 21 is a peer network for ultra-high-net-worth investors with a Dubai chapter. Its published requirement is at least US$20 million in investable assets or qualifying net worth, and members take turns presenting their portfolio for peer review.
The three are compared side by side in YPO vs EO vs TIGER 21 in Dubai.
Investor clubs
Investor clubs are about what you do with your money after the business makes it. They may offer education, peer portfolio reviews, deal flow, co-investment and introductions to advisors. Quality varies a lot, so check who runs the club, how members are vetted and whether anyone is paid on the deals shared.
- Entrepreneurs Club (entrepreneursclub.ae) presents itself as a curated, application-only business community in the UAE, in a founding stage as of October 2026. Its fees are not public.
- Insiders Capital is covered below.

Masterminds
A mastermind is a small group that meets on a schedule to work on each member's goals. Some are free and peer-run, others are paid programs led by a facilitator. They suit founders who want accountability on one problem rather than a venue or a lifelong network. Our guide to entrepreneur masterminds in Dubai explains what to ask before you pay.
Insiders Capital
Insiders Capital is a Dubai-based private membership for entrepreneurs, business owners and investors, founded by Arthur Thomson. As of October 2026, it is organized in four parts: Capital (training library, a live view of the founder's own portfolio, a net worth tracker, deal flow), Network (private Telegram groups, quarterly masterminds, weekly events, trips), Concierge (introductions for company setup, banking, trusts, tax advisory, insurance and travel) and Properties (real estate opportunities in Dubai, Bali and other destinations).
Membership is by application, reviewed personally by the founder. Pricing is shared during the application review, and the offer page lists what the membership includes. How Insiders Capital vets members explains the review.
It is not a clubhouse, and it does not manage assets or give regulated investment, legal or tax advice. It suits entrepreneurs who earn well but have no clear plan for protecting and growing what they earn.
How to choose
- Define the problem. A place to unwind, a place to host meetings, a peer forum, or a wealth plan?
- Check the published criteria. Apply only if you meet them today.
- Ask about vetting. The quality of the room is the product.
- Get the total cost in writing. Joining fee, dues, events, travel.
- Test the format. Visit a venue, attend a guest event or speak with a current member.
- Check your time. A clubhouse is useless if you are never in the area. A forum is useless if you skip meetings.
If you are unsure, start with the lowest-commitment option and add a second type later. Many founders end up with two: a peer group for the company and an investing-focused network for their personal balance sheet.
If you are new to Dubai
A club is easier to use once the basics are in place. These guides cover the setup side:
- Moving to Dubai as an entrepreneur: the first 90 days
- The UAE Golden Visa for entrepreneurs
- Banking in Dubai for entrepreneurs
- Holding companies in Dubai for founders and DIFC vs ADGM foundations
- Single vs multi-family offices in Dubai
- High net worth networking in Dubai
Bottom line
The best private members club in Dubai for an entrepreneur is the one that matches the problem you have right now. Match the type to the goal, check the criteria, and compare cost against what you will actually use.
If your goal is turning business income into lasting wealth, you can apply to Insiders Capital.
